Something I've been wondering about

Why does God call us to do difficult even impossible (for us) things? Why does He bother with us? How do we follow Him as He calls us to those things? I've certainly got some ideas, but I want to understand this better as I search out difficult/impossible things God may call me to. I want to study this in the Word more. If you have thoughts of what to study to learn about God's difficult/impossible callings leave me a comment.

Dan, I've got no recommendations on the "what to study" front. But what kind of "impossible things" might you considering?

By the way, you should set up your "comments" section so that it requires entering a coded word to post a comment. Otherwise, you'll start getting spam comments, which can be really annoying.

hmm quickly thinking what about Sarah and Abraham having a child at something like 80/100 years old? Or Moses' obvious feelings that what God was asking was impossible for him, or Hosea being asked to love repeatedly and unconditionally an adulterous wife . . . again things that are quickly jumping to my mind . . .

when you asked "Why does God bother with us?" it made me think about the story of Jonah. It's definitely a story I would love to study more. There's so much about God's call and sovereignty and how the story points to Christ- there's just...so much! Well, that's my suggestion :)
